The Gordon is strengthening its global presence with an exciting new partnership in Indonesia - one that reflects the growing demand for high-quality, industry-led vocational education across Southeast Asia.
Backed by the Victorian Government through the Yes to International Students Fund and supported by Global Victoria, the initiative brings together The Gordon and Indonesia’s leading professional butchery education provider, Butchery Training Centre (BTC).
The collaboration marks a significant step in delivering Australian-standard training offshore while creating meaningful international pathways for students and industry alike.
At its core, the partnership is focused on delivering specialised food safety and culinary training aligned to Australian standards which is an area of increasing importance in Indonesia’s rapidly evolving hospitality and food production sectors. By working directly with industry, the program ensures graduates are equipped with practical, job-ready skills that meet real workforce needs.
Katrina Bye, Manager Commercial Operations and International at The Gordon, said the pilot represents a strategic and future-focused approach to global education.

“By collaborating with BTC and with the support of the Victorian Government, we’re creating opportunities for students in Indonesia to access world-class training, while also building pathways that may lead to further study in Australia.” Ms Bye said.
The pilot programs are scheduled to commence in July 2026 and will position The Gordon as a leader in transnational education delivery, particularly in niche, skills-based areas such as culinary and food safety, where hands-on expertise is essential and highly valued.
Beyond the immediate training outcomes, the initiative reflects a broader commitment to international engagement that connects education, industry and government to deliver lasting economic and social impact.
As global demand grows for practical, skills-based education, partnerships like this ensure The Gordon remains at the forefront, exporting not just training, but opportunity.
