This month, The Gordon’s iconic City campus will transform into a vibrant foodie-themed festival space for a brand-new, free community event, Feast and Flicks in The Courtyard. With delicious food, live energy and outdoor movies, it’s the perfect excuse to rediscover The Gordon and see it in a whole new light.
Set against the vibrant backdrop of the City campus’ historic, heritage buildings off Fenwick Street, the courtyard will come alive with mouth-watering food made and served by hospitality students, creative experiences and a large outdoor cinema under the stars.
Guests can indulge in a delicious range of offerings, from classic movie treats like popcorn and ice-creams, to hot and cold food, including The Gordon’s famed paella. A selection of hot and cold drinks will be available alongside a fully licensed bar, making it the perfect night out for friends, families and food lovers.
The movie line-up will include a double feature, with Wonka playing at 4pm and again at 6pm, followed by No Reservations at 8pm.
This event is about more than great food and film, it’s about showcasing the talent of our students and bringing the community together in a really fun, relaxed way,
said Carley Brennan, Director - Engagement and Partnerships at The Gordon.
Guests can settle into deck chairs or bean bags under the stars, and if the weather is cool, we encourage everyone to bring along a blanket to stay cosy. It’s going to be a special night of food, film and connection right here in the heart of Geelong.
Feast and Flicks in The Courtyard is designed to showcase The Gordon’s prowess as a destination for learning while offering the Geelong community a unique, family-friendly event experience. The event highlights The Gordon’s role as a hub of education, creativity and connection between students, staff and the wider community.
