The Gordon will bring together employers, educators, government partners and industry leaders on Monday 1 December for the Disability Inclusion Industry Forum, a major in-person event designed to accelerate inclusive employment practices across Victoria.
The full-day forum will explore practical, scalable ways organisations can strengthen disability inclusion, from accessible recruitment and mentoring models to leadership accountability and co-designed solutions that improve education-to-employment pathways.
Tammy Corless, Project Manager for The Gordon’s Centre of Excellence in Disability Inclusion, said the event comes at a pivotal time for industry.
“There is a growing recognition that disability inclusion isn’t just the right thing to do, it’s a strategic business imperative,” Ms Corless said.
“This forum is about showing what works, sharing proven models, and building the partnerships needed to drive real, systemic change across Victoria’s workforce.”

Attendees will hear from leaders shaping the future of inclusive practice, including Victoria’s new Public Advocate, Dan Stubbs, who will discuss how organisations can turn inclusion into action and why the need for change has never been greater.
Ms Corless said the forum will also shine a spotlight on the work underway through the Victorian Government’s investment in The Gordon’s Centre of Excellence.
The Centre of Excellence in Disability Inclusion is focused on improving access, inclusion and employment outcomes for students with disability across the entire TAFE network.

“We’re building capability, strengthening pathways to employment, and supporting industries that are eager to diversify and grow.”
The event aims to equip employers and partners with clear, actionable tools they can adopt immediately, as well as opportunities to collaborate with others committed to stronger inclusion.
“Momentum is building across sectors,” Ms Corless said. “This forum is an opportunity to connect, learn from each other, and be part of a movement that’s reshaping the future of work.”
